Raj & Dina (Founders)
Indie-Perros (Indian Dogs in Spanish) is a movement created by Raj and Dina, a married couple living in Greater Noida, India, united by a shared commitment to changing how stray dogs are perceived and treated.
Dina is a Doctor of Pharmacy with hands-on experience working with stray dogs, including health care, rehabilitation, behavior understanding, and basic training. Her scientific background and experience in her country allows her to approach animal welfare through evidence-based practices, focusing on sterilisation, vaccination, and responsible human interaction as the foundation for safer communities.
Raj is an Indian professional and Managing Director of a private company, bringing organisational, leadership, and strategic planning skills that support the long-term vision and structure of Indie-Perros .
Coming from different cultures but sharing the same values—compassion, responsibility, and respect for all living beings Raj and Dina offer a balanced perspective that combines science, management, and empathy.
Their journey began at home and street level:
By adopting their own Indie-perros and providing foster caring, observing, feeding, and learning directly from the lives of community dogs. What they discovered was simple yet powerful, stray dogs are not aggressive by nature. Fear, neglect, and hostility create defensive behaviour, while compassion, modelling consistency, and kindness build trust.
Through Indie-perros, they focus on awareness, rescue support, adoption advocacy, public education, and the promotion of sterilisation and vaccination as the only real solution to India’s stray dog crisis.
Indie-perros reflects their belief that meaningful change starts locally, grows through collective action, and lasts when compassion becomes a habit not an exception.
